Summer is finally here and a Memorial Sale of course!

Growing up in a tropical country like the Philippines, I can’t help but to always look forward to the summer season.  Aside from the fact that I love going to white sand beaches, I also love wearing light weight clothing.  I can simply wear my favorite dresses and match it with my favorite sandals without the hassle of layering up.  It’s always effortless and easy to dress up for summer.  As a mom, it’s a big deal if you can immediately prepare yourself and get out of the house in 15 minutes.  Of course, same goes when it comes to dressing up our kids.

Looking back at the English countryside!

It’s May and the first thing that comes to my mind are flowers! And when I think about flowers, I can’t help but think about English gardens. Our travels to Europe and Asia over the years made me realize that English garden landscape is my favorite!

What I love about English gardens is the combination of manicured style and the seemingly free flow of abundantly colorful flowers all in the same setting. From Hyde Park in London to Kensington Gardens to our travel to the English countryside, I didn’t lose interest in the English landscapes even for just a moment.  On this blog post I share some of my favorite pictures and settings when we had our day trip from London to Windsor, Bath, the medieval village of Lacock and Stonehenge.

On a side note, it's so interesting that as we do spring cleanup and prepare our yard for the summer, I find myself browsing our pictures in England again -- gaining inspiration and ideas on how to decorate our humble yard this season. Our trip to England has definitely made a mark on me!

Who would not fall in love with Hyde Park?  My daughter couldn't stop wandering the grounds.  From its pond to its small garden nooks, it is a treat to have something like this in a bustling city like London.

Happy Mother's Day!!

It’s the time of the year when all the loving and hardworking moms are celebrated!  When I became a mom, this has been one of my favorite celebrations.  For me, it was the replacement of any award ceremony in my school years and professional years.  Especially now that Mary knows how to make and write her own cards, the day is made even more special.

Each mother has her own style of nurturing, loving, and taking care of her child.  No matter what, I believe that we have this natural instinct to know what our children need.  To you moms, here’s to you for being so strong, loving, and patient!  What I'm definitely sure of is, if we do the right things today, we will reap our rewards, which is the the love and affection of our children when we are old and gray!  Happy Mother’s Day!!

Cheers,
